Christian communications organization Zondervan are about to release an audio version of the Bible (TNIV translation) specifically for the iPod, and theirs will be the first audio Bible available for purchase in Apple Stores. For US$49.99, you can buy an copy of the entire Bible read aloud, as well as a text version for your iPod's Notes folder, so you can read along as you listen.
I'm not surprised, considering the popularity of Godcasting, as well as the fact that the TNIV translation (or Today's New International Version) is intended for a younger and presumably more tech-savvy crowd (specifically 18-34 year olds).
If you aren't interested in the accompanying text, you can upload the audio file to your appropriately adorned iPod shuffle.
